On Saturday, June 29th, a small but determined group of volunteers spent three hours beneath a clear blue sky picking up garbage on the north side of the refuge. Volunteers focused on the upper area around the parking lot, but also ventured down into the ravine to the east of the connection to the Spring Water Corridor. A full pickup truck of refuse was hauled away by the time we were done. Thank you to all who participated for your hard work and good cheer. We’ll look forward to seeing everyone at our next work party on August 10th.
