Friends of Oaks Bottom Photo Contest “Take Your Best Shot”
In the spring of 2024, The Friends of Oaks Bottom (FOOB) will be hosting a photo contest to raise awareness of our beautiful park, get people outside enjoying the park, learn about FOOB, and participate in making beautiful Art. Submit your photos that show the beauty of the wildlife refuge: landscapes, birds, animals, plants, or people enjoying nature.
TIMELINE:
- The photo contest will start April 1st and run through May 31st, 2024
- Judges will select and announce winners by June 15th
- Winning photos will be printed and hung at Blue Kangaroo Coffee Roasters for the month of July 2024
DETAILS:
- Groups/Categories:
- Youth Group- 18 and under
- Adult Group- Over 18
- Category 1 – Smartphone entries
- Category 2 – All other camera entries
- Photo submissions
- Each contestant can submit up to 3 photos total.
- Photos must be of or in The Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge
- Photos must be in .jpg format and no larger than 20 mb
- A photo release form will need to be completed in order for your images to be considered.

- Winners/Prizes
- We will have 8 total winners for 8 pictures hung on wall at Blue Kangaroo
- 1st and 2nd place for each age group and camera category
- We will have 4 honorable mentions
- The 8 Winners will get their photo printed and hung with attributes. They will also receive a Friends Of Oaks Bottom ball cap with the organization logo. Winners will retain their printed photo after the July display period.
- 4 honorable mentions will get a FOOB ball cap.
- We will have 8 total winners for 8 pictures hung on wall at Blue Kangaroo
