Nature Walk
Dear Friends of Oaks Bottom,
Please join us on our next guided nature walk on Saturday, April 19th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. We’ll leave from the Sellwood Park parking lot (7th and Malden) and walk down the bluff to do a circuit of the wildlife refuge’s trails, including the Springwater Corridor. Our focus will be on the birds and plants (native and non-native). Some migrants will be about, and spring wildflowers are blooming!
Darian Santner, a restoration ecologist with the City of Portland, will also be with us. He will be able to explain and update about restoration projects in Oaks Bottom.
There are no restrooms along the route, and there is a descent and ascent of about 60 feet on the bluff. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather on the day. If you have binoculars, please bring them!
Please RSVP by emailing friendsofoaksbottom@gmail.com if you plan on coming. Make sure you give your full name and the number of people in your party. Interested youngsters are welcome, but please leave your pet at home!
The nature walks are free, but donations are gratefully accepted!
See you there!
