Friends of Oaks Bottom Work Party

Event Details: We will removing non-native weed plants around newly planted and established plants to better improve their growth. These plants will provide habitat for local wildlife and humans alike! Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed toe shoes. Gloves, tools, instruction, coffee, and snacks will be provided!

When: Saturday, October 11th, 2025 from 9am-12pm. Please arrive early and allow for a 15 minute walk from the parking lot to the meeting site.

Look for “EVENT” signs with arrows near the trail head directing you to our work site. The work site is about a 15 minute walk downhill on a sloped gravel and dirt path from the parking lot. Meet at the green canopy that will be located where the yellow star is in the map below.

Site Description: The trail from the parking lot to the site is slightly steep downhill and then flat. The work site is on a mostly flat but uneven terrain. There are bathrooms at Sellwood Park and a portable toilet unit near the work site.
