Friends of Oaks Bottom Nature Walk

Dear Friends of Oaks Bottom,

Friends of Oaks Bottom has scheduled another nature walk guided by our members for Saturday, February 21st, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. As usual, we’ll leave from the Sellwood Park parking lot (7th and Malden) and walk down the bluff to do a circuit of the wildlife refuge’s trails, including the Springwater Corridor.

There are no restrooms along the route, and there is a descent and ascent of about 60 feet on the bluff. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather on the day. If you have binoculars, please bring them!

Interested youngsters are welcome, but please leave your pet at home. Also, the pace is slow and will not meet the requirements of your daily constitutional!

The nature walks are free, but donations are gratefully accepted> There is no need to sign up for this event. Just show up at the Sellwood Park parking lot at 9:00 a.m. on the 21st. If you arrive late, head down the trail and along the west side of the South Meadow to the Springwater Corridor. At some point, you can catch up with us!
