DESCRIPTION:Please join Portland Parks & Recreation and the Friends of Oaks Bottom for a planting and non-native plant removal event at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge.\nDecember 6, 2025 10:00 am – 1:00 pm\nHelp keep Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge healthy with Portland Parks & Recreation and the Friends of Oaks Bottom. We will be planting and mulching native shrubs to benefit the health of this ecosystem and provide more habitat for local wildlife. If there’s time, we will remove non-native plants.  Gloves, tools, and instruction will be provided.\nRegistration is required.\nTo register, please fill out the registration form.\nMeeting Location\nPark at and enter the part at the North Parking Lot & Trailhead. Enter the trail which will be marked with a white A-frame sign on the south side of the parking lot.  There will be about a 10 minute walk downhill on a paved path to the Tadpole pond which is our our meeting site. This will ensure that there are enough gloves and tools for everyone to work. We are also available to schedule special service events at your group’s convenience during the week or on weekends.\n
